We decided to do a major remodel of our home bathrooms at our Victorian house in San Francisco, and we asked Anthony of In & Out Plumbing to come out and give us an estimate. The job is very complex and will involve the installation of a shower in what has been a closet in one of the bedrooms. Further, the job will also involve the removal of an outmoded, traditional claw-foot bathtub in the present bathroom to be replace by a similar but updated bathtub and shower. Our house is a three story Victorian with traditional wooden floors, a great deal of molding and other such details that will require great care in their removal and replacement. New piping will have to be run under floorboards that will have to be removed with care and replaced with no damage. Anthony has been incredibly patient with us throughout this process, coming out no fewer than three times to survey, discuss the job with us, and make sure this challenging and difficult job can be accomplished. He has spent a great deal of his time with us on site and perhaps as much or more in his office putting together the estimate and making arrangements for letters of reference and photos of previous jobs to be forwarded to us. Throughout this process we have been most impressed by Anthony’s expertise, his care, and his extraordinary patience and professionalism in working with us. The job is to be done within this coming month. It is likely to take from five to six weeks in all, and if everything Anthony has done so far is a reflection of the quality and knowledge of his work, we anticipate that is should be a great success.
